Requires complex reconstruction to replace the conjunctiva (lining) and the skin of the eyelid. Cartilage grafts or oral mucosal grafts are used in addition to recruiting skin from the cheek or forehead.

A benign but slowly progressive condition that causes contractures of finger joints, most notably the ring & little fingers by forming nodules & cords in the fascia under the skin of the hand. Treatment in most cases is surgical, whereby the disease fascia is removed (with or without skin excision).

Ahmed Alkadhi has been involved with an overseas Cleft Lip & Palate mission (ORH) since 2008. For the last several years, Plastic surgeons from New Zealand have participated in one of these surgical missions; Operation Restore Hope which is a non-governmental non-profit charity mission to the Philippines.
